koshti people are well known Lingayt for wearing a linga. This community is situated mostly in the state of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.This community formed in the 12th century by Basava. They are vegetarian and refrain from liquor.These people mostly work in government service and also they are having occupations like artisans, cultivators and priests.
